Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mani Rathnam have been considering working again. Sources state that Ash did reach out to the maker who launched her to see if he had any good film for her to do. Aishwarya Rai made her film debut with Mani Rathnam’s film Iruvar in 1997. Aishwarya has also met Sanjay Leela Bhansali a few days ago and has been looking at doing some quality work now.
She later came back to work with Mani ten years later in the film Guru. This time she was accompanied by Abhishek Bachchan whom she married three months after the release of the film.
By this time Abhishek had already worked with Mani in the film Yuva which was a remake of his own Tamil film Ayutha Ezhuthu.
The couple worked again three years later in the film Raavanan in Tamil which was made as a bilingual in Hindi as Raavan. Amitabh Bachchan, however was not very happy with the last association of Abhishek and Mani and had reacted to negative reviews about Abhishek’s work and the bad performance of the film at the Hindi box office, attributing to the messy special effects and the making of the film.
But then seven years have passed and a lot of water has flown under the bridge. Will Rai and Mani work again now?
