 Elle ‘bleaches’ Ash

The Indian edition of fashion bible Elle magazine has embroiled itself in a race row by “bleaching” Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who figures on the cover of its December 2010 issue.

Readers who found the glamourous star known for her good looks whiter than her usual colour reacted very sharply.

The digitally “bleached” complexion of the former Miss World is now part of a major controversy in the Indian media since her skin looks several shades lighter than her normal colour.

Her skin has been whitened even in the pictures carried inside the magazine.

Among the innumerable angry comments posted online by fans read: "It's annoying because it seems like lighter skin is always in fashion as if darker skin is something to be frowned upon."

Airport troubles spare no one it seems...not even Aishwarya Rai. The actress had a harrowing time at the Chennai airport after some of her luggage went missing, according to media reports.

In Chennai to attend a promotional event, Ash discovered that some of her personal belongings had got lost in transit, Indian television channel NDTV reported.

Aishwarya reportedly maintained a professional calm even as the airlines admitted its mistake and scrambled to find the missing baggage. She even offered to attend the event in her track suit, the channel said.

Despite the airport hiccup, the organisers saved the day by arranging designer clothes and matching shoes for Ash.

The incident had a happy ending after the star's lost baggage was finally found.

Katrina Kaif wants to act opposite Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan for her dream role.

"It's not one, I have three roles which I wish to do. First on the list is a period film, which are not made enough now. Second on my list is a romantic-tragedy - just like "Devdas". And thirdly, I want to do an action film like "Salt" or " Charlie's Angels"," Katrina told reporters at a press conference of the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010.

When asked with whom she would want to team up, she said: "I want to team up with Aamir. In the last few films the way he has romanced on screen I loved it, specially in " Ghajini".
