The much-awaited wax statue of Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit will be unveiled at London's Madame Tussaud's March 7.

"Madame Tussaud's unveiling on March 7, 2012. See you then," tweeted Madhuri, who has moved here from Denver to play a new innings in Bollywood.

The decision to include Madhuri delighted Bollywood fans around the world as Madame Tussauds was constantly inundated with requests to feature Madhuri.

Her figure will make a stunning new addition to the Bollywood area which continues to grow in popularity every year.

With so many awards to her name and a career spanning over 25 years she undoubtedly deserves her place at the museum and huge interest is expected in the figure when she takes up residence on March 7.

Madhuri was closely involved in the creation process, collaborating with the team to agree to the pose and even donating a Manish Malhotra sari for her figure to wear. Her hair flows loosely over her shoulders, styled to show off her long tresses to full effect.

Madhuri's wax statue has reportedly cost 150,000 pounds and it was completed in four months by a team of sculptors and experts in hair, makeup and wardrobe.

The 44-year-old is the latest Indian film star at the Madame Tussauds wax museum, which also houses statues of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

After playing a successful long innings and reigning filmdom, she bowed out of Bollywood in 2002 when she married US-based doctor Shriram Madhav Nene. Post-marriage, the actress moved to Denver and got busy with her husband and later two sons.

After marriage, her only release was 'Aaja Nachle', but it didn't do well at the box office, however, the dancing queen returned to India in 2011 for good and we hope to see her back in action.

The disclosure of her look on ‘D’ day will be a sheer pleasure for her fans that have retained the loyalty towards the actress.
