'Barfi' is most anticipated film of 2012

Ranbir Kapoor plays the charming role of a deaf and dumb boy named Murphy, whom everyone calls 'Barfi'. Shot mostly in and around the Indian city of joy, Kolkata, the film certainly has a feel-good factor.

Touted as a romantic comedy and directed by Anurag Basu of 'Life in a... Metro', 'Gangster' and 'Murder' fame, the upcoming film reminds viewers of Charlie Chaplin, Raj Kapoor (Ranbir's own grandfather) as well as Dev Anand's heydays. The director's visuals used in the trailer are a treat for the eyes.

Priyanka Chopra, who also stars in the film, plays a mentally disabled woman while Ileana D'Cruz is handed out a dream debut by Basu.

We can only hope at this point that the movie lives up to its superb trailer.

The beautiful trailer has certainly made 'Barfi' the most anticipated Bollywood film of the year. September 14 can't come soon enough.
