Not Salman Khan, Shah Rukh is Katrina Kaif's new protector

If you thought Bollywood hottie Katrina Kaif has got just Salman Khan's beefy shoulders to lean on...well, you thought wrong.
 
The actress has now got a new knight in shining armour to her distressed lady act in the form of superstar Shah Rukh Khan. After all he bailed her out from the clutches of harsh reporters.

Recently, the 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' team was in New Delhi promoting their film when Katrina was questioned about her Hindi speaking skills.
 
The journalist queried about her character in the movie to which Katrina promptly started replying in English. With equal promptness the journalist interrupted her and asked her to talk in Hindi as she works for the Indian film industry and not Hollywood.
 
Uncomfortable with the difficult situation that was brewing, the damsel in distress was quickly rescued by none other than SRK. He jumped in and almost rebuked the reporter.

Indian daily Hindustan Times quoted SRK as saying, "She speaks Hindi also. There is no questioning on the language that she speaks. I request you not to do that... don't get confused with what language the actor speaks. Whatever they are comfortable in, they have right to do so."

But that was not all; the media was not letting Katrina off the hook so soon. Someone asked Katrina who does the dubs for her. SRK stepped in again and chose to reply, saying, "She dubs herself."

By then Katrina had recovered significantly and explained about her character in the film. She plays the rople of a typical Yash Chopra heroine. She is business woman who runs her own business.
 
But obviously she knew the media was gunning for her and she surrendered: "Today is not my day. I just want to say that please see the movie and hope you like the film."

But she must have been relieved to know she has the likes of both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan watching out for her. Kudos to Katrina Kaif on her achievement!
