Priyanka vs Karan Johar: Chopra takes on media

Filmmaker Karan Johar might have called her ‘spineless and lame’, but Priyanka Chopra is portraying a brave front by making a lot of public appearances of late.

PC’s brave side is clearly on display since she hasn’t cancelled her appearances at any events and is seen as her usual smiling and giggling self. This does not come as a surprise to us.

What’s interesting is that Priyanka is not just being brave, but smart as well, in her handling of the media with regard to the ‘Karan Johar’ controversy. 

A few days ago, when she came for the first look launch of her film ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ with Shahid Kapoor and director Kunal Kohli, as expected, questions regarding this issue were thrown at her.

Director Kunal Kohli came to PC’s rescue then asking that questions be restricted to the film.

Thereafter, recently, Piggy Chops made an appearance to promote a brand that she endorses.

Even before Priyanka came on stage, the media was told to only ask questions regarding the brand and its products.

Reporters continued to throw their personal queries at PC nevertheless, but to no avail. All they got was a smile, while the host indicated for the next question to be asked. 

Then a rather loud and aggressive journalist told Priyanka, “Until you answer, we will keep asking, every time”, to which Piggy Chops smartly responded, “Just because you’re shouting and talking in a loud voice doesn’t mean I will answer your question, sir.”

Even without her friends to defend her, PC seems capable of managing the media.

It looks like we won’t hear Priyanka’s side of the story any time soon; speculations and rumours will continue to float.

The actress seems to have decided to maintain a dignified silence on this issue and doesn’t want to fan flames any further.

Fair enough, we say, but it’s always better to know both sides of the story before drawing any conclusions, right?
