Maneesh Sharma has cocked a snook at Shahid Kapoor after the latter walked out of Sharma’s next film. Shahid was not happy with Sharma’s choice of heroine and walked out citing date issues. Everyone knows that Shahid is certainly not a busy actor, so the excuse seems flimsy.
Now, Maneesh has found a way to tell Shahid what he thinks of him.
Maneesh, with Aditya Chopra’s blessings, has now decided to cast a newcomer opposite Parineeti and is holding auditions for the role.
Many young guns have already auditioned for the role. “There are many young men auditioning daily. Sharma was very hurt by Shahid’s behaviour and though he may not show it overtly, this is his way of getting back at Shahid to tell him that what you can do, even a newcomer can deliver, under my direction,” says a source.
Hmm... now to see the outcome of the film. Shahid’s last few films have only been flops or above average films. If Maneesh manages an above average film with a newcomer, he can easily prove a point. And that should not be difficult with the Yash Raj banner backing him.
Ironically, Shahid Kapoor’s last big success was ‘Badmash Company’ for YRF!
