Can Priyanka Chopra take the crown from Katrina Kaif?

Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra's latest dance number "Pinky", with its vulgar choreography and tasteless lyrics, has not impressed her fans.

They are rather fuming having witness the talented actress gyrate to double entendre lyrics in a hot pink short skirt. Even the item-obsessed fans of Bollywood didn't find her dance number amusing.

The actress tries her best to see the nation drooling over her dancing skills. But she miss fired in "Babli Badmash" from 'Shootout At Wadala' and "Pinky" from 'Zanjeer'.

Her "Babli..." choreography is robotic combined with Priyanka’s strange movements - killing whatever vestige of interest there is in the song. To be fair, the song isn’t vulgar it’s just plain boring.

And as claimed earlier, "Babli Badmash" is not her debut item number. The forgetful "You Get Me Rockin and Reeling" from 'Billu' with Shah Rukh Khan was indeed her first item dance.

In fact, her second music video "Exotic" looks like a replay of "You Get Me...; wearing short hot pants, all she does is spirals around, twists, turns, sways and pouts.

So till date all her attempts at a hit dance number have not yielded any foot-tapping results.

Unlike Katrina Kaif's item numbers that outlive the movies and eclipse the heroines. Try recalling the name of the film that featured "Sheila Ki Jawani" or how Katrina stole Priyanka's limelight in 'Agneepath with "Chikni Chameli".

Katrina also kept Shah Rukh panting to keep up in "Ishq Shava" from 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. And who can forget her "Mashallah" with Salman Khan in 'Ek Tha Tiger'?

Every major actress has an item number under her belt - Priyanka Chopra has (Babli Badmaash and more), Kareena Kapoor (Fevicol and more), Sonakshi Sinha (Go Govinda) and Deepika Padukone has (Dum Maaro Dum). But one would rather take the seat then the dance floor with these numbers.

It is Kaif’s dancing that has the audience collecting the remnants of their jaws from the floor.

Now Priyanka is working on another dance for Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 'Ram Leela'. Will she crack it this time and trump Katrina Kaif as the dancing queen?

The shooting will take 10 days and an elaborate set has been erected at Reliance Media Works, Film City.

Choreographed by Vishnu Deva, Priyanka is accompanied by 20 female dancers. She will sport an ethnic outfit for the dance that will see traditional dances steps from Gujarat.

We hope Priyanka gets lucky this time and grab the nation's attention for her dancing skills.
