Filmmakers wanting to sign Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for their films have been jumping the gun far too often.

First it was the producer-director duo of Gaurang Doshi and Prahlad Kakkar who had given media interviews that Ash was working in their film along with Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan in a film called 'Happy Anniversary'.

Both the male Bachchans of the family -  hubby and father-in-law - denied the statement vehemently.

And then there was the news about Mani Rathnam approaching her and Ash agreeing to work in his film. The picture is still not clear as to whether Ash will collaborate with her 'Iruvar', 'Raavanan' and 'Guru' director.

And now, southern filmmaker P Vasu, known for his 'Chandramukhi' and 'Chinna Thambi', had claimed through a press release that he had finalised Aishwarya Rai for his upcoming untitled multilingual, featuring Ash as a Kalari fighter.

They even released an animatronics-faciliated still of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from the film.

“Aishwarya was really impressed with the script. She will be seen in a never-seen-before powerful role. She will essay a Kalari fighter in the film and for the same she will undergo special stunt training,” said the statement.

But then Ash is in no mood to accept any role without agreeing completely.

As the story made the rounds with its cover versions, Ash’s PR machinery got to work to deny all such stories that Ash was working in the film which is to be shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, will be produced by K Ramesh of Global One Studios.

Aishwarya’s office released the following statement. “This statement is in reference to the press release/ rumoured attachment of Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Mr P Vasu's film which has been doing the rounds very strongly today in the media and the industry.

"With due respect to all the professionals concerned, I would like to state that this was one among the several scripts/ ideas she has been approached for but there have been no confirmations at all. This ‘press release’ came as a huge surprise to all of us... An email clarifying this erroneous ‘press release’ has already been received by our office from the concerned parties,” says the statement.
