Earlier, the Supreme Court of India had refused to grant more time to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt to complete his movies.

53-year-old Dutt was initially granted four weeks reprieve to surrender.

But this time the plea of a film producer, who sought more time for Dutt to surrender in order to complete two films which are under production has been rejected.

It's unclear when he will surrender.

Report suggests the actor may be assigned the task of cooking while he serves his sentence in prison.

While he may have earned crores from his films, while in jail he will be paid Rs 25 daily for the work he does there.

In a prison, a prisoner can be employed as a carpenter, carpet maker, or in the leather workshop. Dutt may choose any one trade he wants to excel in.

Last time Dutt served sentence in jail, he was into carpentry and had also made a chair.

After he has mastered a trade, his salary may be increased from Rs 25 per day to Rs 50 per day.

Apart from this, he will also get an allowance of Rs 1500 from his family. He will be allowed to meet a maximum of five people from his family in a month and that too for 20 minutes only.

MOVIE PROJECTS:

The actor had several films underway, the films included 'PeeKay', 'Zanjeer', 'Unglee', 'Alibaug', 'Ghanchakkar', 'Takrar' and 'Vasooli'.

Of these, Sanjay Dutt has completed shooting for 'Alibaug', 'Policegiri' and 'PeeKay'. The first look of KS Ravikumar and TP Aggarwal's 'Policegiri' was released recently.

'PeeKay' was another film where Sanjay Dutt plays a pivotal role. In the four weeks' extension Sanjay Dutt received for completing his pending films, he has also been able to finish the job for 'PeeKay'.

Unfortunately, the shoot for 'Unglee', 'Takrar', 'Vasooli', 'Takrar', 'Vasooli' may not have been completed yet. 'Unglee' will be directed by Rensil D'Silva and produced by Karan Johar.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected pleas of two film producers who had appealed for granting more time to Sanjay as a huge amount of money was riding on the name of the superstar for their films. An estimate pins Rs. 278 crore as the sum riding on Dutt’s back.

Sanjay's work in 'Takrar' also remains to be completed. The film is in pre-production stage and for Agarwal's other film 'Vasooli', Dutt had only shot for four days.
