Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back at Cannes and she is all set to slay the red carpet after the cruel post pregnancy weight jibes last year.

She has shed all that extra flab which was bothering the world but not her and looks all set to face the music again.

But nonetheless, the actress will hope her 12th appearance at Cannes will be less controversial than the rest as far as her style statement is concerned.

The actress arrived at Cannes holding her 18-month-old daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, who often looks overwhelmed by the paparazzi.

Aishwarya Rai looked sleek in an all-black comfy ensemble with yellow accessories: a chain-link shoulder bag and flats with yellow bow.

The celebrity daughter makes all the style statement with cute hair clips, wearing a pink flared cardigan and red-white polka dot trousers. Pink seems to be her favourite colour on most outings.

Aishwarya is in Cannes to be the guest of honour at an event on Sunday evening celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema.

Her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, attended "The Great Gatsby" opening gala on May 15 and also announced the festival open along with Hollywood actor Leonardo di Caprio.

Amitabh has been impatiently waiting for his daughter-in-law and grand-daughter to join him at the French Riviera.

Mr Bachchan, an avid blogger, wrote on social networking site, "A joy to meet 'the little one' and Aishwarya on way oout from Cannes.. Now to London and Back home... Life has become a travelogue!"

Earlier he tweeted: "Media tomorrow, and then wait for the 'bahurani' (daughter-in-law) to arrive with 'bitiya' (granddaughter), meet them and get on plane back to London and then home!! [sic]."

It is reported, Aishwarya will be joining her husband Abhishek Bachchan to attend an event commemorating 100 years of Indian Cinema at the festival on May 19.
