Eva Longoria sued for $4m
"Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria has been sued for at least $4 million by her former Las Vegas nightclub partner.
Mali Nachum, a former partner in the financially troubled Beso club, filed the suit on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming Longoria violated California usury laws, The Telegraph reports.
The TV actress star lent Nachum $1m dollars for the venture in 2009 and was promised repayment at eight per cent annual interest and a large stake in the club, the publication said.
But according to the suit, Nachum discovered in December that the terms violated California usury laws.
He estimates damages of at least $4m and is seeking three times that figure.
A statement from Longoria's publicist calls the suit meritless and blames her former partners for forcing the nightclub into bankruptcy protection last week
