Katie Price increases security due to kidnap threat

Katie Price has stepped up security following a kidnap threat.

The TV star - who has three children, Harvey, nine, Junior, six, and Princess Tiaamii, four, from previous relationships - was left terrified following the threat and has now made sure her estate in Brighton, South England, is completely secure for her family.

She told Reveal magazine: "I had another kidnap threat this year, quite a bad one.

"My house is now like Inspector Gadget.com because I'm in the middle of 52 acres on my own.

"You name it, my house has got it, from all the gates into my property, cameras inside and out and panic buttons everywhere."

Katie - who was previously the target of a kidnap threat in 2009 - is single after splitting with Leandro Penna so has asked friends to stay with her to make her feel safer.

She said: "I've got Michelle Heaton and her husband Hugh staying with me at the moment."

Katie admitted she is finding it "weird" being single, particularly when she is at home in the evenings.

She said: "It's weird being single, I'm not scared of being alone, but at night when you're watching TV you do want companionship."
