Michael Lohan wants rehab for Lindsay

Michael Lohan wants his daughter Lindsay to go to rehab "for a year".

The showbiz patriarch thinks the 25-year-old troubled actress requires "long-term care" and he is not happy with the people she has been spending time with, nor her health after unflattering pictures of her teeth recently surfaced online.

He told RadarOnline: "I want Lindsay to go into rehab for a year. She needs long-term care.

"Between pictures of her with bad people and her teeth, it is quite evident that her problems have not been addressed or conquered."

Lindsay is set to go before a Los Angeles judge in court tomorrow (19.10.11), where she faces up to 18 months in prison after allegedly skipping some of her probation requirements - but Michael is hoping she doesn't get sent to jail.

He added: "I still contend that she doesn't belong in jail. She needs to get off all of the medication she's on, including the Adderall which is killing her.

"The one person that holds the key to Lindsay turning her life around is her mother Dina."

Lindsay's probation requirements are part of her sentence for stealing a $2,500 necklace in January, which resulted in her spending 35 days under house arrest earlier this year.

The blonde beauty is said to be "extremely focused" on her probation requirements, despite recently being forced to change her community service schedule after she reportedly failed to attend a number of sessions at Downtown Women's Center, which led to her being reassigned to the Red Cross.

Her representative Steve Honig explained: "Lindsay performed community service every single day this past week at the Red Cross, and has been spending the bulk of the weekend fulfilling her therapy and shoplifters course requirements. She is extremely focused on her court-ordered obligations."

Lindsay denies skipping her court-ordered therapy sessions, claiming she carried them out over the phone.
