Mommy Aishwarya returns... with grandpa Amitabh Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai seems all set to enter the playing field any time now. Pairing up with dad-in-law Bachchan, she is ready to make her return, reports Indian media.

Though she has not yet signed any new films, reports suggest she has been roped in by a leading jewellery brand based in India.

Kalyan Jewellers has allegedly signed the new mom for a whopping Rs10crore (Dh7.3million), according to Celebs. The advt campaign will feature Amitabh Bachchan, too.

While the deal is expected to be announced shortly, there is no confirmed reports on when the ads will be shot. Will the beauty wait to shed her flab to face the camera?

The former Miss World, one of the highest paid celebrity endorsers, is already a global brand ambassador for L'Oreal and Longines.

Meanwhile, according to a Times of India report, Ash may likely return with a South Indian film. Earlier there were reports she would not work for a year as she would love playing a doting mom. As per sources, the actress is inspired by a woman-centric role that's come her way from the South. If true, Bollywood directors will have to wait their turn.

Salman and Aishwarya Rai spotted together

It was a gala event wherein the industry’s biggest and most glamorous stars made an appearance to congratulate the little master.

From Lata Mangeshkar to Aamir Khan to Salman Khan to Rani Mukherjee to Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan, all were present at the starry event.

Priyanka Chopra emceed the event and all the stars took their turn to speak about Sachin.

It was interesting to see Salman Khan seated in the same row as Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. Salman sat next to Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao, just a few seats away from his ex, Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek, reports India Today.

Two stars, who would never be seen together, came close once again at the function.

Considering their infamous break-up, it could have been an uncomfortable situation for all those present there but it seems that the two stars were pretty much at ease.

What was even more interesting to watch was when Salman went up on stage to address Tendulkar and cracked some jokes, Aishwarya burst out laughing along with others in the audience.

But the joke and the laughter did not break the cold between the two. In spite of being seated close enough they chose not to look at each other. Salman did pay attention to Abhishek while he was talking, but choose to look away when it came to Aishwarya.

Courtesy Tendulkar the two stars at least came under the same roof and forgot their past for some time. And we think it's high time the two talented actors let the past go by and be friends again.
