Priyanka Chopra at last confesses...

Priyanka Chopra was recently named India’s glam diva by a TV channel. And she doesn't mind being called hot and sexy. The camera loves her and justifiably so; she is a stunner in front of the camera. But she loves being behind the camera just as much. “I love capturing moments. I’m a huge picture person. My camera is huge, but it’s with me all the time on holiday or at a shoot. I love taking pictures, but my frames are bad. Obviously, I am no Dabboo Ratnani, so it’s all cool,” says Priyanka.

Ask her what kind of pictures or people she likes to shoot and she says, “You know, it’s not about a particular kind of photography. I love capturing moments. Like someone’s laugh or a little child, very candid moments because pictures give you good memories.”

What’s her favourite memory? “I love my baby pictures. They’re not all technically correct and professional. But they are so genuine. My parents have put up my baby pictures in the house, and I can see so much of their love, in those pictures.”

Priyanka is building her own cache of memories: “I capture most of my moments when I’m shooting an ad or a film or when I am on a trip. When I turn 80, it’ll be fun to see those pictures and smile and feel nostalgic. I’ll feel, ‘Oh once upon a time, I was shooting for this film, at this location’.” Though the actress admits she’s never taken pictures of her co-stars.

Since she’s talking of being behind the camera we ask her who she thinks are the most photogenic actors in B-town. After some thought she says, “I’d include myself, Rekhaji and Dharamji. I know I’m really back in time, but I truly find them photogenic.”

And among her contemporaries? “I think all the girls are photogenic. Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, they are all good. They have unique poise. Also, if you’re an actor, you need to be photogenic. So, all of us are!” the cheeky former Miss India adds.

Priyanka, it seems, has no qualms about being called hot and sexy.

“When someone looks at my pictures and says it’s ‘hot’ or ‘sexy’, it’s flattering. I do not mind being called that. Who would? There is nothing wrong in being hot and sexy,” she says. When has she been the most naughty on camera? “I’m always naughty. On camera, and off it too,” she adds with a conspiratorial smile. But diplomacy is not far behind her candour. When asked about her take on the race to be number one, she says, “All of us love winning and like to be number one. Having said that, it’s not good to stamp on someone and go ahead. Moreover, it’s not possible to decide the number one. We make 400 films a year in Bollywood, sometimes one actor’s film is a hit, sometimes it’s some other actor’s luck. So, I don’t believe in that race. In fact, I compete with my own self.’’

Though the ‘Fashion’ star admits that “failure” is something she fears the most. Priyanka’s next release will be ‘Barfee’ where she plays an autistic girl, in a totally de-glam avatar. Others include Kunal Kohli’s tentatively titled ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ alongside rumoured ex, Shahid Kapoor and ‘Krrish 3’ with Hrithik Roshan. Priyanka provides no confirmation of the rumours of her being cast in the ‘Zanjeer’ remake. “If I sign a film, the production house will announce it first, not me,” concludes the beauty.
