Ranbir Kapoor reveals how Shah Rukh Khan owes him Rs 5000 and he was the one who actually suggested the title for the Imtiaz Ali film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma and he is supposed to get the reward that SRK announced for the person giving the title for the film.
“I want to tell everyone that the title is mine. I am not sad that I am not being given the credit for the title by Shah Rukh Sir, but I was not aware of the reward for the title (Rs 5000). So, Shah Rukh Sir, I am coming to Mannat (SRK's bungalow) now to collect Rs 500.
Please pay by cash please. To be honest I was shooting with Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Sir and others at Mehboob Studios when the title was being discussed. We were discussing titles I was the one who suggested the title ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and everyone made fun of my suggestion and laughed at it.
But today when I look at the poster I realise that the title that has been suggested is mine,” says Ranbir.
Interestingly SRK had called off a Rs 5000 reward for the title yesterday morning by tweeting that Ranbir had suggested the title and hence no one will get it.
Social media has also been trolling the title ever since the poster of the film with the title came out for being a rip off on titles like Jab We Met and When Harry Met Sally. Names like Ring and Rehnuma were also being tossed up for quite a while.
For those who tuned in late, Kirron Kher has been credited on screen as the person who gave the title for the Aditya Chopra film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. So will Imtiaz also do an Aditya?
