Salman Khan fans had a chance to talk with ‘bhai’ in Dubai for Dh5

Super fans of Bollywood megastar Salman Khan will now get a chance to speak with their idol who will be in Dubai to perform at the Times of India Film Awards (Toifa) on Friday.

As part of du’s ‘Talk to the Star’ session fans will be given the chance to connect with the star of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ at 3.30pm on March 18, ahead of the awards show being held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

To take part, fans will have to dial 055 567 8157 or send the word ‘Toida’ to 9820 to register for the service for Dh5.

Once registered, you can call back at 3.30pm on March 18, for your opportunity to engage in a live chat with Salman Khan.

“We’re taking a new approach to connectivity, by not only connecting customers to each other through our telecommunication services, but also by connecting people to things that they’re really passionate about through incredible experiences,” said Hala Badri, Executive Vice President, Brand and Communications, du.

She continued in a statement: “’Talk to the Star’ gives our customers the exclusive chance to speak directly with their favourite celebrities, and it is our pleasure to present this fantastic opportunity to them to talk to one of the elite Bollywood actors.”

Khan has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ at Toifa 2016.

The film itself has been nominated in three other categories, for Best Film, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor.

Du customers will be able to talk to Salman about his work in the film, his thoughts about Dubai.

The awards night will see performances Salman Khan, along with Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, YoYo Honey Singh and other Bollywood celebrities.
