Sonakshi does a 'Chamak Challo'

What do you do if you need an assured hit number in your film? One, remix an old favourite; or, record one that sounds pretty much like the latest hit.

 

The producer of ‘Rowdy Rathore’ seem to have gone for the latter. News is that Sonakshi Sinha, who is paired opposite Akshay Kumar in the film, has done a number that sounds almost similar to ‘Ra.One’s, ‘Chamak Challo’.

 

The song has been choreographed by Saroj Khan and was shot a few weeks back. This is interesting considering the director of ‘Rowdy Rathore’ is  Prabhu Deva, a much-acclaimed and accomplished dancer and choreographer himself. The reason for the rope in, says a source, is producer Sanjal Leela Bhansali, who believes that Saroj Khan will be able to recreate the magic of Devdas' with Rowdy Rathore as well.

 

While it’s still some time before that fact can be ascertained, it seems Saroj Khan was pretty impressed by the young debutant dancing skills and gave her Rs. 101 as her token of appreciation. What we really are interested though is the atmosphere when two ace choreographers came face-to-face, one dance directing and other directing.
