Taylor Swift happy single: More than mingles with Victoria's Secret model
'Shake It Off' hitmaker Taylor Sift insists she's happy to be single, despite being linked to numerous people in recent months.
The 24-year-old beauty said she's happier being on her own than she would be in a relationship.
Taylor told Billboard magazine, "I am 24, perfectly happy being alone. One of the reasons I'm perfectly happy being alone is that no one gets hurt this way."
Earlier this week, Taylor was pictured getting close to Victoria's Secret model Karlie Kloss, prompting widespread speculation they were dating.
A picture emerged of two girls seemingly kissing.
However, Taylor's representatives have denied that they are anything more than good friends.
The hitmaker has dated some of the most famous names in the entertainment industry - including Harry Styles and John Mayer - and has recently been linked to The 1975 front man Matt Healy, but Taylor insists she's happy being boyfriend-free at the moment.
She shared: "I don't have anyone whose feelings are on the line except for me.
"If I was in love with someone right now, I don't know how I would handle everyone else weighing in on our stories, because when you're in a relationship there are a lot of secrets and a lot of sacred moments that you don't want to divulge."
When asked if writing about her love life had given her any problems with the way people “connect the dots”, she said: “I don't have anyone whose feelings are on the line except for me.
“I think it’s healthy for everyone to go a few years without dating, just because you need to get to know who you are,” Taylor explains. “And I’ve done more thinking and examining and figuring out how to cope with things on my own than I would have if I had been focusing on someone else’s emotions and someone else’s schedule. It’s been really good, " she told Esquire magazine.
Taylor, whose album 1989 came out too late for it to qualify for The Grammy Awards, saw her single Shake It Off nominate for song and record of the year, while she was also nominated for best pop solo performance.
