Indian Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor's movies with all the Khans (Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir and Saif) in the industry have been more-or-less successful, except one - her husband Saif Ali Khan.

Reports are doing rounds that Kareena Kapoor Khan is now not at all keen to work with her husband Saif.

Off-screen, Saif-Kareena has always been paparazzi's favorite couple, making it to the headlines due to their affair, live-in relationship, marriage et al.

Together they make good magazine cover but never delivered a blockbuster on-screen.

Even Kareena is stumped that her movies opposite her husband had always failed to make waves at the box office.

Their first film together was JP Dutta’s 'LOC' which was a flop.

Then came 'Tashan' where love blossomed but box of collection withered.

Rensil D Silva’s 'Kurbaan' was again a huge flop despite few sparks of good work.

But they did not give up and Saif Ali produced 'Agent Vinod' amidst stories about their impeding marriage, but that film also tanked.

And that is perhaps the only reason why Kareena now refused a film opposite Saif Ali Khan for filmmaker Nikhil Advani.

While real-life couple failed to make a mark on-screen ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor is a rage with the audience.

As Deepika and Ranbir get ready to film for Imtiaz Ali's next in France; strangely no filmmaker seems keen to cash in on the real life chemistry between Ranbir and Katrina Kaif.

From partying in Ibiza, getting caught red-handed, to dining at posh restaurants and exchanging expensive gifts, Katrina Kaif is ruling Ranbir Kapoor's heart at the moment.

When it comes to ruling the marquee, her rival and Ranbir's ex Deepika seems to be enjoying an advantage.

Their open-secret love life is of no interest to the directors except the gossip columns.

Despite the success of 'Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani' and 'Rajneeti', this real life couple is not really firing up the filmmakers' fancy.

Deepika on the other hand has scored it big with Ranbir in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and the crakling chemistry has clinched that coveted role opposite him in Imtiaz Ali's next produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Audience is interested in seeing how they stake up on-screen post their break-up and how they keep the spark alive.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani candidly says, "Deepika suits Ranbir much better. Next to RK, Katrina looks more mature. Secondly, Deepika's growth as an actress cannot be discounted. Thirdly, Katrina's biggest charm, her syrupy smile, is kind of wearing off."

There are also reports that Ranbir recommended Deepika's name for his movie with best friend Ayan Mukherji.

Apparently, the Kapoor lad wanted to recreate the magic of the very successful 'Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani' since he thought the audience loves to see them together.

Though Ranbir and Katrina are coming together in 'Jagga Jasoos' but the buzz around the movie is a tad bit low.

People tend to go for what is in. At the moment, it is Ranbir-Deepika.

Conclusion: For a couple to do wonders at the box office, there has to be a certain amount of curiosity surrounding them off-screen that has to unfold on-screen.

Kareena and Saif has no mystery left in their relationship (there never was one) but as for Ranbir and Deepika audience feels there's a lot unsaid and unfinished business between the two.
