Salman Khan was hoping to get Zhu Zhu in the last promotional leg of the film Tubelight to India to promote the film, but the Chinese actress who seems to have a stellar role in the film could not make it.

Whether there were visa issues that resulted in the non-arrival of the actress is not known, but then even Saba Qamar, the heroine of the Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium could not be in India thanks to the stand-off between India and Pakistan relations and could not promote the film. But the low budget film still managed to get a good Rs 70 crore as collections till date.

The film has not gotten off to a great start at the box office and that will surely be on top of Salman’s mind because all his films need some great promotion and Zhu Zhu’s absentia would have surely hurt a portion of the collections.

But with the film also scheduled to have a grand release in China soon, we do hope that Zhu Zhu will be available there in her home country to promote Tubelight.
