Cricketer Zaheer Khan dating 'Chak De!' girl Sagarika Ghatge

We are told it happened in Goa. Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan and the actress Sagarika Ghatge from films like Chak De India and Fox are now dating.

Interestingly it was at the wedding of another cricketer and an actress. When Yuvraj Singh married actress Hazel Keech of the film Bodyguard fame, there were many from the film and the sports fraternity in attendance.

And Zaheer Khan was seen spending special time with Sagarika at the wedding. Zaheer was very keen to be introduced to Sagarika and it seems that Angad Bedi – the actor son of former Indian cricketer Bishen Singh Bedi hooked the two up.

Interestingly while Yuvraj has dated actresses Kim Sharma of Mohabbatein fame and Deepika Padukone earlier Zaheer Khan was dating Isha Sharvani who was launched by Subhash Ghai in Kisna.

The liaisons between Indian cricketers and actresses is not really a new phenomenon. In fact, Yuvraj’s close friend Harbhajan Singh also married an actress Geeta Basra after being besotted by her and carrying on a long relationship with the actress.

Another cricketer-actress couple was present at the Goan wedding - Indian test cricket captain Virat Kohli and his actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma.

Yuvraj Singh thought he had bowled the maiden over when he netted Deepika Padukone … but he was then run out by Ranbir Kapoor!

There was some gossip about Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Deepika Padukone as well.

Saif Ali Khan’s mother and former actress Sharmila Tagore dated and married cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Saif’s former wife Amrita Singh and cricketer Ravi Shastri had a brief spin as well.

Kareena Kapoor’s best friend Amrita Arora was also dating English cricketer Usman Afzal once.

Former Rajesh Khanna girlfriend Anju Mahendroo was also once dating cricket legend Gary Sobers.

Neena Gupta dated and even got a baby girl Masaba from West Indian legend Vivian Richards. Masaba is now married.

There was a link-up between senior actress Poonam Dhillon and former Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranatunga.

Former Indian all-rounder Manoj Prabhakar dated and married Madhuri Dixit lookalike Farheen.   And yes, actress Reena Roy was once married to Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan before they split.
