Dubai Calendar: Middle East Film & Comic Con is back for the third time
This weekend you get the chance to be part of Middle East Film and Comic Con - one of the region's most hyped and anticipated event.
Organisers ExtraCake P.R.A announced that tickets have officially gone on sale for the third annual Middle East Film and Comic Con.
After two successful years, the MEFCC, presented by Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and in association with MBC 2 and Dubai Calendar, has attracted significant attention from across the GCC and the globe with early indications suggesting that as many as 30,000 visitors will attend the event in 2014.
Moving into its new home, the Dubai World Trade Centre, exhibitor & feature space has doubled from 2013 and promises an even broader range of pop culture and entertainment content for attendees.
Alongside fan favourites such as the Movie Club, Aramex Comics Village or PLG Tournament Zone there will be more celebrity guests, international & regional artists and global entertainment brands on display.
The outdoor festival zone has also increased with additional F & B vendors and more crazy activities promised on the Renovada Main Stage!
The event caters to people with all interests and Ben Caddy, CEO of ExtraCake PRA emphasised “Whether you’re a hard core fan or just a family who want a fun day out, the MEFCC is a spectacle that you won’t forget and we’re encouraging fans to buy early if possible.
We’ve never had any VIP tickets available on the door for example and were almost out of weekend tickets last year. The new venue has great parking & public transport facilities and for overseas fans there are travel packages available via our website too so we’re looking to have a great turnout”
In previous years fans met with actors such as John Rhys Davies, Sean Astin, Warwick Davis & Jason Momoa from films and TV shows like 'Lord of the Rings', 'Star Wars', 'Harry Potter', 'The Walking Dead' & 'Game of Thrones'.
This year, guests include Taylor Kitsch, Giancarlo Esposito, Sylvestor McCoy from 'Dr. Who' or 'The Hobbit' and the incredibly talented Seth Green, known for numerous Hollywood films plus animated shows like 'Family Guy' and 'Robot Chicken'.
Three tiers of tickets are available to purchase. Starting at Dh85 for a single day pass, Dh160 for a weekend pass (Friday and Saturday) with VIP tickets priced at Dh500.
VIP ticket holders will get access to the show a day earlier between 16:00 and 20:00 along with exclusive merchandise, special offers and prints.
