Arab singers Elissa and Fares Karam headline this weekend’s entertainment as Eid kick-starts the UAE’s concert season.

A total of eight Arab singers and six Iranian pop stars will take to the stage over the three-day Eid in Dubai event.

Elissa is joined by Fadel Shaker and Ruwaida Attiya for a show at the Madinat Arena on September 11. A concert the day before at the same venue features Abadi Johar, Hussein Al Jasmi and Mona Amrsha. Johar returns to the UAE after a gap of 14 years, organisers said.

Tickets for these shows are priced from Dh300 upwards and several dinner packages are on offer.

Meanwhile, Karam and Shaza Hasson are set to perform on September 12 at a show at the Al Bustan Rotana, with tickets priced from Dh600 to Dh1200.

Tickets for both sets of events are available at Box Office Middle East.

There’s also plenty of action at the Dubai World Trade Centre, which is the venue for some scintillating Iranian shows this weekend. September 10 sees pop stars Andy, Afshin, Sepideh, and Erfan perform live, while Benyamin and Ali Ashabi liven things up on September 11. Tickets for these shows are priced from Dh299 and are available at the venue.
