The premiere of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' may have had a subduded air but it seems Bollywood was keen to celebrate Yash Chopra's life at the event.

Photos of Chopra's films like 'Joshlia', 'Daag', 'Deewar', 'Chadni', 'Lamhe', 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai', 'Veer Zaara' and others were displayed as celebrities walked the red carpet from the back entrance of the studio.

Also flashed was a huge black and white photo and title of his last film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

Chopra's wife Pamela, son Uday and lead cast of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' - Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, were seen welcoming the guests.

A string of Bollywood celebrities including biggies like Bachchans, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan to name a few, attended the grand premiere of late filmmaker Yash Chopra's last venture 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

Yash Chopra managed to bring the three Khans under one roof - Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan. Salman's appearance was an unexpected presence at the grand premiere.

The actor did not just make an appearance he stayed long enough to shake a leg with Amitabh Bachchan.

'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', of course, stars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman's sworn enemy ever since they infamously came to blows at Katrina Kaif's birthday party four years ago. Then again, it also stars Katrina herself, Salman's ex-girlfriend, his co-star in blockbuster film 'Ek Tha Tiger' and who is treated as a member of Salman's family.

Ek Tha Tiger was also a Yash Raj film. And so Salman attended an SRK event - Bollywood history of sorts.

Among those who attended the gala premiere were Amitabh Bachchan with wife Jaya, son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya, Rekha, Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Banu.

Tinsel town divas from the yore and contemporary times turned out in large numbers to attend the event.

Actors Vinod Khanna, Aamir Khan with wife Kiran Rao, Sridevi with husband Boney Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Randhir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Hrithik Roshan with wife Suzzane, Rajiv Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, filmamkers Ramesh Sippy, Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Sooraj Barjatiya, R Balki with wife Gauri also attended the event.

Also spotted on the occasion were actors Bipasha Basu, Parineeti Chopra, lyricist Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jeetendra, Anil Kapoor with daughter Sonam, Arjun Kapoor, Raj Kumar Hirani, Akshay Kumar with wife Tina, Shahid Kapoor among others.

From those who have worked with Yash Raj Films to those who missed the opportunity all attended the event.

Buzz was that actress Rani Mukherjee, who was rumoured to be dating Chopra's elder son Aditya, was the official in charge of the premiere guest list of the film.

Chopra's wife Pamela had earlier said the premiere was their way of celebrating Chopra's illustrious life rather than mourning it.

The grand premiere was planned even before Chopra's sudden demise on October 21.

Releasing today, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead.
