Arjun Rampal says no patch-up with Shah Rukh in Dubai

During the packed schedule on the promotional activities of 'Satyagraha' when Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal decided to take a quick time-out to Dubai there were widespread speculations about an impending meet with friend-turned-foe Shah Rukh Khan.
Incidentally, Shah Rukh was scheduled to arrive in the emirates to promote his film 'Chennai Express' almost at the same time.
When Rampal tweeted about his visit everyone thought a patch-up was on the cards off the shore of Mumbai.
Speaking exclusively to Emirates24|7 Rampal dismissed all such suppositions in a terse reply, "No not all, nothing of that sort".
When Emirates24|7 egged on Rampal, he sounded quite unaffected with the conjectures.
"People write and make up whatever they want to make up, it's upto who wants to believe what and I think I should leave it up to that."
Much has been said about the alleged differences between former friends SRK and Rampal. However, according to reports, the two may have buried the hatchet recently.
When asked about the media reports about their behind-the-door patch-up he said, "Sometimes I read news and it amazes me how creative people can get."
Going by his laconic response and tensed tone we realised Rampal was not very keen on discussing his relationship with Shah Rukh Khan.
Recently he snubbed a reporter saying, "My relationship with Shah Rukh is my concern and no one's business". So we decided not to end up on the wrong side and asked him about his Dubai visit.
"Dubai trip was a bit of both pleasure and business but more pleasure. I needed to take a break and I like Dubai. A friend of mine was doing a charity event, she takes care of the labour camps, adopts these camps; she gives them lot of amenities and she wanted me to come and visit one of them. So my visit was clubbed with that and a bit of relaxation.
Arjun Rampal's next movie 'Satyagraha' will be released on August 30. Rampal plays the role of a young aspiring politician who wants to bring about change in a system which is filled with corruption.
'Satyagraha' is a political thriller keeping in mind the sentiments of the Indian youths and what they are going through in today's corruption plagued age.
Prakash Jha's 'Satyagraha' is a casting coup of sorts with Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Amrita Rao.
Following the release of the film’s trailer, many presumed that Amitabh Bachchan’s character is based on the popular anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare.
Jha clarified that his film is not inspired by Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption, even though it is the story of a revolution.
