At the function, in full public display, the couple made it amply clear that they were in a long and steady relationship.

The ToI quoted an eyewitness as saying, "The usually shy and reticent Riteish and Genelia were open about their relationship. Their feelings for each other couldn't have been made clearer. They were walking hand in hand almost throughout the function."

“In fact, they have always made a very conscious effort to sit apart. But this time, their love was out there for everyone to see. Riteish sat with Genelia and her mother. He was very comfortable with the elderly lady as well. Obviously, Genelia's mother has blessed the couple," said the source.
