'Dhak-Dhak' Madhuri inspired 'Dirty' Vidya

The diva of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit Nene has influenced a generation of females in India to aspire to become an actress. And one amongst them is none other than star of the moment, Vidya Balan. 

She reveals, “Madhuri is my inspiration for acting. Since the time I saw her song ‘Ek Do Teen’, I wanted to get into acting. I was eager to become a junior Madhuri Dixit. A film was also made on the same and that is so true, because half the nation had picked on that song and was crazy for her.”

Elaborating more on the influence, Vidya says, “There was a time when the acting bug had bit me too and I would stand in front of the mirror, and dance and act. It just kept evolving. I still do the same even now.”  

Interestingly the 'Dhak-Dhak' girl is set for a second comeback with Vidya’s ‘Ishqiya’ sequel, ‘Dedh Ishqiya’.

Guess in Bollywood, influences and admiration do come around.
