Emirati singers to perform live at Global Village on Nov.26

Global Village, the region’s leading cultural, entertainment and retail destination, has announced that it will open its doors for general public on Monday, November 26, as part of the Union Festival celebrations. After the Festival culminates, Monday will be marked again as the Family Day at Global Village.

The theme park will be hosting its first concert on 26th of November, featuring the famous Emirati singer Mohammed Al Mazrooei. The concert is free to the public and entry tickets to the park remain 10AED. Entrants can also get a coupon to enter the draw to win a Chevrolet Camaro sports car (2013 model).

The organizers also announced that Monday’s concert by Mohammed Al Mazrooei would be followed by a performance by famous Emirati singer Abdul Menam Al Aamri on 27th November.

The Union Festival continues to amaze everyone visiting Global Village, thanks to the wide array of entertainment on offer. Among these are street shows, Emiratis folk dances and Fireworks. Visitors can also enjoy watching the 3D Mapping show which is presented on Global Village main offices. Covered with white sheets the 4-minute film animation especially designed for the theme park, was extended for an extra 2 minutes to mark the National Day celebrations.

As part of this, Global Village will also host a Parade with over 65 artists from all over the world dressed up in their traditional attires. Adding the local touch, Emirati traditional Areesh huts will be installed across the Global Village to welcome visitors with Arabic coffee, dates, and Arabic Incense.

Other special celebrations on show at Global Village during the Union Festival include other live concerts, and the Police Band Show.

Meanwhile, the dancing fountain is showcased on the melodies of Emirati songs to give the Union Festival a cultural depth and feel.

Many pavilions have also actively contributed to the Union Festival presenting cultural shows and other special performances in addition to the Ukrainian Fire Show.
