Prakash Jha has managed to put together a dream cast for his ‘Satyagrah’.

The ensemble cast will have Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee playing pivotal roles in a film that focuses on corruption in the country.

After losing out on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' Kareena would be pleased to have bagged a role in Prakash Jha's socio-political drama.

Kareena plays a seasoned political journalist with a strong ideological bent to her personality.

Her journalist character is modeled on CNN's Christiane Amanpour, who is known for her humane and compassionate reportage.

But eventually, Kareena is likely to play a strong female Prime Minister — post her character’s metamorphosis, reports Hindustan Times.

After grabbing such a strong character role Kareena wants to deliver her best and wants to go go all out in portraying the hard core journalist.

The actress has been asked to watch tapes of Amanpour's news coverage and her show on CNN.

Kareena will also follow Amanpour's dress code: chic and fashionable yet formal and not too severe

For her act as a Prime Minister she plans to imbibe the “sturdy body language and temperament” of real-life leaders like the late Indian PM Indira Gandhi, Late Pakistan PM Benazir Bhutto and even former UK PM Margaret Thatcher.

She wants to watch documentaries based on their real life and go through study material to do justice to her character.

After her movie 'Heroine' releases, Kareena will start on her research.

But Prakash Jha was very secretive about the storyline and did not divulge about Kareena's character.

Scheduled to go on the floors in January next year, ‘Satyagrah’ will address the ethos of a peaceful mass protest against corruption.

Interestingly, Jha’s 'Raajneeti' also portrayed a female politician sashayed by Katrina Kaif.
