Indian movies are shot worldwide from Australia to US to South Africa – thanks to their viewership across the globe. From picturesque valleys of Asia to the peaks of Alps in Europe, the directors and actors of Bollywood, Kollywood and Mollywood travel the globe to cash in on the appeal of landmarks in the movies.

Indian movie Sagar shot in 2012 was also shot abroad. It shows scenes from Australian city of Sydney and Singapore where the hero and heroine are dancing along with other performers. The story line is that the male character returns to India from Sydney, Australia.

A netizen has discovered that the movie was actually shot in Singapore not in Sydney. A movie song shows actors dancing in Sydney but as a matter of fact it was Singapore, according to a report in Singaporean website Stomp.

"There were scenes showing the hero, heroine and friends dancing at various locations in Singapore such as Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer and Raffles Place and were portrayed as Sydney, Australia.

"The song sequence looks hilarious and stupid especially since the Sydney's Opera House was superimposed onto our Arts Science Museum and the Helix Bridge in the song,” Stomp said on its website.

The website says the actors were certainly not in Sydney and “videos of Australia were obtained from elsewhere and merged with the actual footage of Singapore. Even Changi Airport Terminal 2 and a plane of Qantas was shown in the movie to show that the hero hails from Australia! It is the most absurd thing that could happen," the website said.

Sagar was a 2012 Kannada romantic drama film starring Prajwal Devaraj, Radhika Pandit, Sanjjanaa and Haripriya in the lead roles.
