Charming Karan Tacker is the latest heartthrob of the small screen industry in India. Starring in a daily soap 'Ek Hazaron mein meri Behna hai' he made his way to everyone's heart as the perfect husband to on-screen wife Jeevika.
Karan has set his goal higher than those of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who also started his acting career from television.
He dreams to set his own benchmark and create his own niche in the industry.
Amicable and enthusiastic about his current endeavor, Karan wishes to have a stable career in the film industry.
Speaking to Emirates 24|7 he said, “I am looking at scripts currently but did not find anything very appealing; I would rather wait for something exciting and more challenging even if it takes 5 years.
Honestly, I am happy with what I am doing.”
Often reminding his age, the sturdy 26-year-old dreams to etch out his name on the silver screen with a career that has a lasting impact on the minds of his audience.
“I want to have a lifelong career rather than simply having one which ends after 5-20 years, so if I get a good break tomorrow I will take it up provided it has a promising future, ” he said.
Apart from entering B-town we hear that Karan wishes to share an isolated house with adult film actor turned Bollywood heroine Sunny Leone.
Blushing at the thought he said, “I came to know about her (Sunny Leone) only from 'Big Boss' which was also been offered to me. But due to my current schedule I am out of dates, so I backed out. But if
Sunny Leone was there I would have definitely figured out a way to get in.”
Karan is all praises of the adult star and commends her attitude, “The way we present ourselves is the way people will perceive you. When she does not have an issue with the kind of image she carries, why should anybody else bother.
'Ek Hazaron mein meri Behna hai' (My sister is one in thousands), star has one weak point, his on-screen wife Jeevika aka Krystal D’souza.
“Krystal and I got well acquainted and are ‘physically comfortable’ with each other. Generally it takes time to gel with the star who you work with but we became good friends very easily. Both of us are fanatics."
“We are very comfortable with each; hence we have done several intimate scenes together. Moreover, while acting we are in the skin of the character, so there’s no discomfort,” he rattles on.
Karan recently bagged the "Favorite Pati" (husband) title at the Star Parivaar Awards but does he really think himself to be a perfect husband?
“I think in real life I will be a very caring husband and give my other half space and some freedom, then it is up to her to give me the Favorite Pati award.”
So what about his love life? “I am very young only 26 now and currently married to my job, so there is no time for love.”
However, tired of working on serials for the past four years he wishes to take a month long sabbatical. And what's the destination he chooses- the Palm Jumeirah Island. "It is my first time here and I have totally fallen in love with it."
His impromptu trip to Dubai turns into a romantic venture with the emirate as he plans to return to celebrate New Year.
