Happy anniversary: Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek celebrate togetherness

Bollywood's power couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan celebrate their seventh marriage anniversary.

Paparazzi and media darling the couple thanked their fans for the good wishes. Abhishek Bachchan‏ tweeted: "Thank you all so very much for all the anniversary wishes. Truly touched. Big love, Aishwarya & Abhishek".

Aishwarya and Abhishek, who first met on the sets of 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ka', tied the knot on April 20, 2007 at a private ceremony at the Bachchan's residence, Prateeksha.

Aishwarya and Abhishek, who are known as Bollywood's hottest couple today, did their first film 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ka' but at that time however, there was no romance between the two, as Abhishek was engaged to Karisma Kapoor and Aishwarya was dating Salman Khan.

The duo went on to work together in 'Kuch Naa Kaho' in the year 2003, followed by 'Umrao Jaan' and 'Dhoom 2' both in the year 2006 and 'Guru' in the year 2007.

It was widely speculated that romance blossomed between them, during the making of the last three films.

Abhishek Bachchan reportedly proposed to Aishwarya Rai in New York, right after the premiere of Mani Ratnam‘s 'Guru' and they got engaged on January 14 2007.

The couple then went on to star in Ram Gopal Varma‘s 'Sarkar Raj' in the year 2008 and Mani Ratnam‘s 'Raavan' in the year 2010, post marriage.

In June 2011 Abhishek's father and megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to announce that his bahu Aishwarya Rai was pregnant.

Aishwarya Rai gave birth to a baby girl on November 16, 2011, who was named Aaradhya Bachchan in March 2012. Earlier she was addressed as Beti B by the media. Grandfather Big B later confirmed to a fan's message on Twitter that his granddaughter has been named Aaradhya.
