Record giant Sony Music has eyes on Harry Styles solo career.

The 'Story of My Life' singer is the most hotly sought after member of One Direction since the band confirmed they are taking a long break next March and record bosses at the label giant are eagerly waiting to sign him to a massive solo deal.

A Sony insider revealed: "Harry has always been One Direction's most popular member and it's obvious that we want to secure him. He's a global superstar.

"Zayn will get to release an album first, as he left the band earlier, but the most excitement is about what Harry is going to do.

"Everyone wants to know what his solo material will sound like, there's also a lot of pressure to get it right.

"Harry is a smart guy and is really good at surrounding himself with talented people."

However, the handsome singer won't be tied down to just the music business.

Earlier this year movie boss Harvey Weinstein met the with said there's 'no question' that Harry will enter Hollywood at some point.

He told The Sun newspaper: "There's no question he will enter the movie business. I get from him that he wants to. When you meet him, he's super-charismatic.

"He came to our Oscars party last year and then I went out to lunch with him. I think the guy is a movie star. He doesn't have to audition for me."

Harry's bandmate Louis Tomlinson will reportedly focus on bringing up him and Briana Jungwirth's child during One Direction's extended hiatus.

The 'Drag Me Down' hitmaker - who is expecting a baby with Briana Jungwirth - is reportedly not planning a solo career, but is instead keen on giving all his attention to raising their son or daughter.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Louis is comfortable enough financially to take a year or two off and feels that his solo career can wait because fatherhood is much more important.

"[He's] joking that he will live his life vicariously through Harry [Styles'] solo career while the band is on a break."

Meanwhile, an insider previously claimed the group are planning to have at least twelve months apart but insists there is no 'bad blood' between Harry, Louis, Liam Payne and Niall Horan.

Niall Horan also insists One Direction 'are not splitting up' and says they "still have lots to achieve" as a group even though they "will be taking a well earned break at some point next year."

The 21-year-old singer has assured fans he and his bandmates, Harry Styles, 21, Liam Payne, 21, and Louis Tomlinson, 23, "still have lots to achieve" together even though they "will be taking a well earned break at some point next year."

The 'Drag Me Down' hitmaker took to Twitter to address recent rumours they have decided to take an extended hiatus to focus on individual projects, writing: "Ok so lots of rumours going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year.

"Don't worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve ! Can't wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform some new songs as the tor continues! Love you all xx (sic)"

A insider previously claimed the group are planning to have at least twelve months apart from next March, but insisted there is no "bad blood" between them.

The source explained: "The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband. They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.

"It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future. But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world's most popular music act."
