Hugh Hefner plans wedding movie night

Hugh Hefner will watch 'Runaway Bride' on what was supposed to be his wedding day.

The Playboy founder was set to marry Crystal Harris on Saturday (18.06.11) but the 25-year-old blonde has now called off the wedding so the 85-year-old lothario is now planning to watch the Julia Roberts movie, in which she jilts her grooms at the alter.

He tweeted: "Since we're not getting married on Saturday, I've scheduled a movie: "Runaway Bride." Seems appropriate. (sic)"

Although Hugh is devastated by the split, he is pleased it happened now rather than later.

He said: The breakup is a heart breaker, but better now than after the marriage. (sic)"

Following the split, Hugh - who has been married twice before - has been given support by his former girlfriends Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.

He said: "Bridget Marquardt came by to give me her loving support. Very dear."

While mother-of-one Kendra - who is now married to NFL star Hank Baskett - wrote on her twitter page: "We r comin over w some jack n coke. Oh, n a pipe lol. (sic)"

Recently crowned Playboy Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair also spoke out in support of Hugh, saying she isn't surprised Crystal called the nuptials off.

She said: "I'm not surprised in the least. She seemed very unhappy. It was blatantly obvious to everyone that they didn't have much in common. ...Nobody really understood it. But Hef cared for her and she made him happy, so of course everyone was going to support him.

"He deserves better. It's a selfish move to do it so suddenly. She should have been a little more adult about it and decided months ago. To put people through this five days before a wedding, I think it's horrific."

Christina Aguilera was no 'angel' during marriage

(BANG)

Christina Aguilera admits neither she nor her ex-husband were "angels" during their marriage.

The 30-year-old singer-and-actress split from music executive Jordan Bratman last October - with their divorce finalised in April 2011 - and Christina is adamant both of them played a part in destroying the relationship.

In an interview with W magazine, the blonde star - who has a three-year-old son Max with Jordan - said: "At one time or another we were both not angels. It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself."

Christina endured a tough childhood, during which she witnessed her father Fausto emotionally and physically abuse her mother Shelly and she admits she sought comfort in songs - especially in the musical 'The Sound of Music', which features the numbers 'Maria' and 'Edelweiss'.

The 'Fighter' singer - who is now in a relationship with Matthew Rutler, who she met on the set of her film 'Burlesque' - explained: "I felt caged by my childhood.
And unsafe: Bad things happened in my home; there was violence. The 'Sound of Music' looked like a form of release. I would open my bedroom window to sing out like Maria. In my own way, I'd be in those hills."

Britain silent on prince's possible return to frontline

(AFP)

Britain's Ministry of Defence (MoD) refused to confirm press reports that Prince Harry had been given the green light to return to action in Afghanistan.

The Sun and The Mirror tabloids reported Thursday that the 26-year-old Apache helicopter pilot had been cleared for redeployment to the country in which he served as a forward air controller for 10 weeks in 2007-2008.

The MoD would not comment "on the deployment of individual service personnel" and the prince's office also refused to confirm the report.

"Harry is an army pilot and will deploy wherever the army chooses to send him," a spokesman for the prince said.

Harry's first tour of duty in Afghanistan, in which he directed jets bombing Taliban fighters, was cut short when foreign websites broke a media ban on the reporting of the prince's involvement.

The third-in-line to the British throne made it clear he wanted to return as soon as possible.

The Sun claimed defence bosses and the queen had given their assent for Harry's return to frontline action. A final decision, which will remain secret, is expected early next year.

Harry completed the first stage of training to fly the Apache in April and was promoted to captain. At the time, the prince said it would be pointless for him to train as a pilot if the army did not intend to deploy him.

He has completed five years in the army, which entitles him to the title of Captain Harry Wales.

Emma Watson dating Wallflower co-star

(BANG)

Emma Watson is reportedly dating her 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' co-star Johnny Simmon.

The 21-year-old actress - who shot to fame playing Hermione Granger in the 'Harry Potter' films - is said to have fallen for the 24-year-old actor on the set of the drama movie, which is being shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the pair are already very close.

A source said told HollywoodLife.com: "Emma and Johnny met shooting 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' and have gotten serious fast. She loves how down to earth and normal he is and thinks he's the nicest guy. He feels the same way about her. She doesn't act like she's one of the biggest stars in the world."

Although the relationship is still in its early stages, the pair are said to have become virtually inseparable

A second source said: "They have really fallen for one another and both aren't dating anyone else. She once said she'd never move to LA, but I think she's reconsidering ... especially because Johnny lives in Los Angeles."

Emma previously dated financier Jay Barrymore but their two-year relationship ended in March 2010 after two years.
