Jackie Chan, David Beckham: Who to meet where in Dubai

Latest: The star-studded cast of ‘Star Trek’ will be at Burj Al Arab later today, following which the gang will be shooting across various undisclosed locations around Dubai.

However, if the tweets and posts are anything to go by, a visit to Burj Khalifa has already happened for Quinto, but we reckon Pegg may want to return to the scene of the crime where his on-screen character aided Cruise to pull of the almost impossible in ‘MI4: Ghost Protocol’, which was filmed there; perhaps, sharing notes with Pine for a similar stunt in ‘Star Trek’ could very well be the call of the hour.

Meanwhile, those of you who missed out on meeting Beckham at the Adidas store launch, could perhaps find him on The Palm Jumeirah considering the story goes the footie legend does own a palatial seafront property there.

If Tom Cruise could swing from Dubai’s dizzying heights and Luke Skywalker could feel the force, strong as ever in Abu Dhabi, then what's stopping some of Hollywood's biggest names to join in the party?

Hot on the heels of Jackie Chan descending into Dubai to shoot some crucial action scenes for 'Kung Fu Yoga', Trekkies around town will be cheering from the sidelines as the next instalment of 'Star Trek' commences shooting just further down the road, some say.

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, actor and writer Simon Pegg, along with Idris Elba are just some of the top names that will address the press later today and perhaps drop a few nuggets on what sort of action is in store for Dubai residents.

While the plot of the film is shrouded in secrecy, ‎we can say Alba will enter as a super villain under the watchful direction of Justin Lin; however, we have yet to see if Zoe Saldana will make a fly by experience via Dubai.

Meanwhile, sporting fans are also having a party of their own as David Beckham descended into town on Tuesday for a store opening.

Keep your eyes open, for chances of catching these celebs shooting or kicking a ball in a neighborhood near you is highly likely.

Otherwise, the usual hotspots such as Atlantis The Palm, a firm favourite with Paris Hilton, along with places such as Cle (Kardashian sisters spotted there), along with Cavalli Club (Jennifer Lopez) are some of the usual suspects to catch the stars after a long day at work.

Later in October, the double premiere of Bollywood’s 'Jazbaa' will also see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her posse in tow for her big comeback film.

We also hear Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon will also descend on to Dubai with their 'Dilwale' tales in tow.
