Johnny Depp looked a lot like Jack Sparrow at the Hollywood Film Awards.

'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor appeared to be inebriated on stage, where he was presenting an award.

The actor stammered through his speech.

The 51-year-old Hollywood icon appeared at the event to present the documentary award for 'Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon', directed by Mike Myers.

However, it soon became apparent Johnny wasn't in the best shape for the role, expressing bemusement about the double microphone in front of him, saying, "That's the weirdest microphone I ever saw in my life."

Johnny subsequently tried to adjust the microphone, which drew laughter from the crowd, including music manager Shep Gordon, who was seen giggling.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor admitted, "I'm not very good at this type of thing.

"Watch, I'm going to read this thing."

He slurred and swayed his way through a mostly inaudible speech, using the F-word twice before a clip reel cut him off.

Trying to regain his composure, Johnny added, "For decades Shep Gordon has been one of the most beloved and respected talent managers in the music industry, he is also the current star and subject of the documentary 'Supermensch' ... cos he is a mensch [Yiddish for a person of integrity].

"I've been very, very lucky to have him in my life. He is someone I consider a great friend, an incredibly loyal friend.

"So you have to watch the film!"

"It's just one of those nights," he said before CBS appeared to cut him off.

Backstage, Myers called Depp's expletive-laden introduction "very rock n' roll."

Twitter users, meanwhile, thought the actor was simply "wasted."
