The 21-year-old singer, who claims to have turned over a new leaf after multiple brushes with the law last year, says he wants his fans to be proud of him.

He said: "I'm a real human being. I think people forget that, and I'm growing up, I'm figuring some stuff out but I'm here to show people a new walk and I want people to look at me and be proud of me, you know, so that was all I really wanted to get across."

Meanwhile, the 'Boyfriend' hitmaker, who split from Selena Gomez last October after four years of dating, says he has no plans to include a response to her song 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' on his upcoming album.

But speaking to Ryan Seacrest on heat radio, he added: "I think a lot of my inspiration comes from her. It was a long relationship and a relationship that created heartbreak and created happiness and a lot of different emotions that I wanted to write about. "

Justin, who says he is currently single, is working with Kanye West on several tracks.

He said: "I've been in the studio with him for the past month or so. I think that he just pushes you. He definitely wants it to be my direction, but he pushes it. That's why artists love to go to him because he pulls something out of you that other people don't."

Justin Bieber isn't looking for love

Justin Bieber says he's happily single and isn't looking love at the moment, as he is focusing on himself.

The 21-year-old singer, who has been linked to model Hailey Baldwin since splitting from long-term girlfriend Selena Gomez last October, says he isn't looking love at the moment and just wants to have fun.

The 'Beauty and the Beat' hitmaker said: "At this point in my life I'm so focused on myself that I'm not looking for a girlfriend. I'm just trying to make sure I'm 100 percent so I can add to the person I want to be with. I want a girl I can trust, who I can lean on. This business is hard, and I want someone I can confide in."

Justin claims to have turned over a new leaf following multiple legal battles and reports of bad behaviour over the past year, but is "still trying to figure out" who he is.

He told USA Today: "I'm growing, figuring some stuff out, as you do when you grow up. You figure out what type of man you want to be, that's where I'm at. I'm still young. I'm still trying to figure out who I am, and I'm just trying to have fun."

The Canadian star has also rebuilt his relationship with his mother, Pattie Mallette in recent months.

He said: "We lost our relationship for awhile. She couldn't really tell me anything; she would try, but I wasn't listening to anybody and that sort of sucked. But our relationship is getting better now; we're getting it back.

"I left a lot of people behind who weren't on the same journey I was on, and I've got a lot of new people in my life who are pouring into me, and not taking away from me."
