Justin Timberlake stopped his show in Detroit on Monday to help a fan announce her pregnancy.

The 'Man Of The Woods' hitmaker was performing a concert at the the Michigan city's Little Caesar Arena when he noticed a fan at the front of the crowd holding a sign which read "Will you help me announce my pregnancy to my family?".

Justin - who has two-year-old son Silas with his wife Jessica Biel - stopped his performance to address the sign, as he took it from the excited fan, whose name is Darcell Baxtresser.

He told the crowd: "This sign caught my eye, I gotta stop the show."

The 37-year-old then proceeded to read out the sign to the cheers of the audience.

He said: "This says ... you ready? Detroit this is very cool. It says: Will you help announce my pregnancy to my family? Baby Bax. Baby Bax - can I nickname him baby Bax? Baby Baxtresser arriving November 1, 2018."

The 'Say Something' singer then declared a toast to the impending arrival, before grabbing a platter of shots for him and his band - which pregnant Darcell did not take part in.

According to The Blast, the announcement almost didn't happen, after security tried to take the sign away from Darcell before she entered the venue.

She is quoted by the publication as saying: "[Security] was literally taking it out of my hands and I was like 'noooo, please, please!'"

The Blast also reports that she eventually got the okay but was warned security inside the venue would probably take her sign, and so she hid it under her shirt prior to the start of Justin's set.

Meanwhile, sources recently claimed Justin is hoping to make a similar announcement of his own soon, as he and Jessica are reportedly keen to expand their brood.

An insider said: "It's 'when' not 'if' they'll be adding to their family. They've always wanted another kid, but they waited until things got better. Now they are trying, hoping for a girl."
