Kareena Kapoor leaves Aishwarya Rai far behind

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar had to deal with all sorts of hiccups when stated work on his movie 'Heroine' but now seems to be on a roll with his leading lady Kareena Kapoor.

We all know how Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was Bhandarkar's first choice for 'Heroine' but due to her pregnancy she stepped out of the project.

The director approached Kareena Kapoor for his dream project and by the look of it the crew is very satisfied with her. The Kapoor girl filled in Ash's shoe and now all party seems to be happy.

Bhandarkar cannot stop praising his leading lady and almost everyday posts a new picture of Kareena from his set.

Kareena will perform two item numbers. Bhandarkar reveals that one of Kareena's item numbers is called ‘Halkat jawani…’. The filmmaker believes that Kareena will take the nation by storm with this one.

'Heroine' revolves around the life of a once successful film actor Mahi Arora, whose career is on the decline. Recently when Bhandarkar posted one picture of Kareena with a baby bump, it went viral and rumous of Kareena pregnant took centre stage.

The film deals with the subject of manipulation in the casting and editing stages. Bhandarkar is also co-producing the film with UTV Motion Pictures. But Bhandarkar says that he has treated the subject very carefully lest it sends out wrong signals about the film industry.

Apart from Kareena and Arjun, the film also features actors Randeep Hooda, Rakesh Bapat, Divya Dutta and  Shahana Goswami in pivotal roles.
