Kim Kardashian, Kanye West give birth to joke mania over North West
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their baby daughter North West. Within hours of the news breaking, the name had become an Internet punchline.
Kim and Kanye West have been slammed by fans on social networking sites.
Just after the name was revealed, Twitter has been flooded with comical reactions from the fans.
From the obvious cheap shots ("Did she give birth to a baby or a compass?") to simple photos of the extinct airline carrier by the same name ("First picture of Kim and Kanye's new baby!"), within an hour of the announcement, "North West" was a hot topic for online comedians.

Another popular observation? If little Kimye (Kim-Kanye) ever has a book or fashion line, she can name it "North by North West"--just like the Hitchcock film starring Cary Grant.
In fact, there are already several North West parody Twitter accounts, including @Its_North_West ("You may laugh at my name but i laugh at your bank balance.") and @NorthKimWest.
It seemed that not many fans were impressed with the name the couple gave to their child, who is now an internet sensation despite being only few days old.

One fan blasted the rapper for naming the child saying that by doing so they have ruined her prospects for a career in air traffic control.
On the other hand, a few witty users remarked that when the little girl gets older she could have a clothing line or a perfume called 'North' by North West.
