Kim Kardashian let baby North try on her engagement ring.

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star got engaged to rapper Kanye West on Monday and shortly after the romantic proposal she let their four-month-old daughter North wear the 15 carat diamond ring.

She told E! News: "I took it off and put it on her. We brought it to her right after and told her."

Since the proposal Kim has been keen to keep the ring on her finger, even when she has been hitting the gym.

She explained:"It's been on all the time. It's been on when I'm at the gym. It's been on everywhere."

The blonde beauty gushed with delight after Kanye hired a 50-piece orchestra to play Lana Del Rey's 'Young And Beautiful' before having a message with read: "PLEEESE MARRY MEEE!!! (sic)" light up at San Francisco's AT&T baseball stadium, and is still ecstatic.

Kim added: "I'm extremely happy. Its where I am at in my life and I hope people can see that because it's what's going on with me right now."

The pair attended the Dream For Future Africa Foundation gala in Beverly Hills on Thursday where the star showed off the rock.

Kanye West: Fatherhood has given life purpose

Kanye West claims becoming a father to North has changed the meaning of his life and given him perspective.

Kanye West says becoming a father has made him more focused.

The 'New Slaves' rapper, who got engaged to Kim Kardashian this week, claims his four-month-old daughter North has made him a stronger person and given him a reason to live.

He told San Francisco radio station 99.7 NOW: "It's one thing for me to say I want to do things to help the world, it's another thing to really have a family, to really understand what it means to be a dad.

"It gives you real perspective of the American dream, the world dream. The meaning of life to me is life itself, family."

Kanye hired out AT&T Park baseball stadium in San Francisco on Monday to propose to his "dream girl" Kim on her 33rd birthday with a 15-carat diamond ring.

He said: "She gave me a beautiful daughter and she has an amazing, beautiful family, who are now also my family.

"Just the stability in this astronaut ride of life, particularly of fame, to have someone who understands, who's that sweet, who doesn't want me for my money. She looks pretty good, too."

Kanye also revealed he approached high street favourite The Gap to see if they wanted to collaborate.

The 36-year-old star quipped: "I went to The Gap and I said, 'Lemme try to do something', and I couldn't get past the politics. And I'm like, 'I'm telling you, I got it. I know it. I can do it. Gimme a shot.' "

"Our first night [on the Yeezus tour] we sold $83,000 in tour merch. Imagine if you take these thoughts and connect it with a corporation like The Gap."

Kanye said his creativity is inspired by his faith and insisted the use of the 'White Jesus' voice in his live shows was never meant to generate controversy.

He ranted: "I don't do anything for the sake of controversy. I don't do anything for the sake of publicity. A lot of times people look at celebrities like a video game character or an avatar.

"My joystick is all the way out the plug [sic]. You ain't controlling this avatar in any way. There's only one person that walks this earth, or one level of greatness that can control me, and that's God."

The 36-year-old rapper is keen for the 33-year-old reality TV star to start planning their nuptials right away as he wants it to be the best ceremony she could ever imagine, and he has even been on the hunt for some of the top dress designers.

A source told RadarOnline: "Kanye is urging Kim to plan her dream wedding. It is not going to be a quiet affair. It will be lavish beyond belief. Kim will have several dresses and Kanye wants her to be wearing some of the top designers from around the world."

Meanwhile, Kanye - who previously insisted he would never feature on a reality show for fear of tarnishing his reputation - allowed the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' cameras to capture his romantic proposal to the mother of his four-month-old daughter North on Monday, but he is yet to decide whether he wants producers to film his wedding day.

The source explained: "[Kanye] relented and agreed to have his proposal filmed as a trade-off because he wouldn't allow North to be filmed in the days after her birth."

Bruce Jenner 'wasn't invited' to Kim Kardashian's engagement

Bruce Jenner "wasn't invited" to Kim Kardashian's secret proposal and only found out the news after the event had taken place.

Bruce Jenner "wasn't invited" to Kim Kardashian's engagement.

The former Olympic athlete was unaware his step-daughter was going to be proposed to by her boyfriend Kanye West at the AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco on Monday night, and only found out the good news once the lavish event had taken place.

Bruce - who recently split from Kim's mother Kris Jenner after 22 years of marriage - reportedly disapproved of the 33-year-old reality star striking up a relationship with Kanye so soon after her marriage to ex-husband Kris Humphries ended in 2011.

However, Kim - who has four-month-old daughter North with Kanye - phoned Bruce almost "immediately" after the 36-year-old rapper popped the question as she "considers him [Bruce] to be her father," according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, brunette beauty feels like the "luckiest girl in the world" to be marrying her beau and believes the proposal, which Kanye organised himself, was truly "magical".

The 'Black Skinhead' hitmaker rented out the baseball field for $35,000 and hired a 50-member orchestra for $50,000, who performed his hit 'Knock You Down' and Lana Del Ray's 'Young & Beautiful,', before fireworks lit up the sky and the words "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" flashed up on the scoreboard.

He also booked San Francisco's top caterer for the event and helped to design her engagement ring with Lorraine Schwartz, before secretly flying Kim's family and friends to the venue.
