American reality TV star Kim Kardashian West looked radiant in a black ensemble as she stepped into the Parfum Monde showroom, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, on Monday (Nov 24) evening to unveil her seventh fragrance 'Fluer Fatale'.

The flashbulbs went into overdrive the second she stepped onto the podium set for the big reveal.

But, not before Kim paused to pout and pose for her trademark selfie with Alywn Stefan, the founder of beauty contact and distributor of the fragrance in the region.

"He wants a selfie! One second," she announced to the media, confessing that she would've possibly taken millions of selfies till date.

Despite being an hour behind schedule, Kim kicked off the proceedings with grace and elan.

"Thank you so much for being so welcoming. As we wait for everyone to get here, I thought it would be awkward if I didn't say hello to you all," she told the media. "I can’t wait to come back."

Kim unveiled the scent, in a bottle shaped like a white rose.

"This fragrance reminds me of my daughter. And, just after I had my baby, it was the first, real, passionate scent that I liked."

Talking about the process that went into making the fragrance, Kim explains how it represents what she's feeling, or "something (she's) going through".

"During my pregnancy, I would get turned off by strong scents. And, after I had my baby everyone would send me flowers, and a lot of roses. And, I became obsessed with the scent of rose. And, I would look for the scent everywhere... in skincare, haircare... everything. And, I never got sick of it, so I knew I had to create something out of it.

"And, I'm really proud of this one."

Her scent, she believes, is universal, and doesn't absorb any local influences.

"I collect perfumes, and some of my prettiest bottles are from Dubai. I think I can make a scent that will be more suiting to the Middle Eastern customer."

It wasn't just her perfume that took centrestage, ideas for a 'Kardashian hotel in Dubai' also cropped up.

"I think it would be so much fun to do a Kardashian hotel with my sisters so that we can all come here. It would be something that would be so exciting to do. It is not in the works, but it is something we should think about."

After working on so many different projects, Kim admits it's the beauty business that she wants to focus on entirely for now. "Beauty is something I feel so passionately about. I love fragrance, make-up and hair products. So, I would love to just focus on that."

She's also planning to bring baby West on her next Dubai trip. "I really wanted to bring her. But, I didn’t think it would be fair to bring her when there was so much work involved. I just thought it would be nicer for her to stay at home with her cousins and her dad. So, it's turned out into a good bonding trip for her and her dad.

"I'm homesick. I'm missing her. I'm excited to go and see her tomorrow."

Kim is hopeful that next time she can bring her along. "She would love it here."

Dr. Roy CJ, Chairman of Confident Group and his wife Lenny Roy, Managing Partner of Parfum Monde, will stock the scent exclusively for the next two weeks before it reaches stores across Dubai.

You can get a whiff of Kim, for Dh215 (50ml) and Dh275 (100ml).

At Toko

Kim hosted an exclusive dinner for fans and guests at Toko, Restaurant & Lounge at Vida Hotel, Downtown Dubai.

The 34-year-old was accompanied by close friends and make-up artist to the stars Joyce Bonelli and hair stylist Scotty Cunha.

Fans paid Dh550 to dine with the star, which the organizers claimed was a complete sell-out.

The set menu consisted of four-courses, created by executive chef Sebastian Francis, of contemporary Japanese Izakaya dishes, including a selection of maki and nigiri, miso marinated black cod, smoked miso salmon and chilled rhubarb-macadamia crumble, vanilla custard, apple sorbet, to mention just a few items available.
