The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star was subject to a terrible ordeal in Paris, France, earlier this week when five armed, masked men stormed into her apartment, tied her up with plastic handcuffs, and duct tape, and stole more than $10 million worth of jewellery.

Now, the 35-year-old beauty is on the lookout for a body double to help confuse any would-be assailants.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "There's a circus that follows Kim's every move. Her new security team is recommending she employ a body double to help confuse would-be assailants."

But Kim has other worries on her mind, as another source claims she is most concerned about the possibility of her two children, daughter North, three, and 10-month-old Saint, being "kidnapped".

The source said: "The kids being kidnapped is Kim's biggest fear. She previously didn't want to shell out for armed security, but now she realises the family needs 24-hour protection."

And for Kim - who is married to music mogul Kanye West - the problems don't stop there, as she is also finding it difficult to know who to trust, amid speculation that the robbery may have been an inside job.

A third source told the publication: "She doesn't know who she can trust. Kim's team is conducting an internal investigation -interviewing assistants and looking through phones for evidence that anyone may have communicated with the thieves. They are slowly ruling people out."

Police first reported on Tuesday that they suspect the men had information that meant they knew her bodyguards wouldn't be present at that time.

A source said previously: "French police suspect that the five alleged robbers had some contact with her security and were tipped off about her procedures.

"They knew there was no security [with her inside her apartment that night]. All they had to do was go in, make contact with someone inside the hotel."

Kim Kardashian bodyguard speaks out

Kim Kardashian West's bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, has vowed to track down the armed robbers who stole her jewellery and warned they have messed with "the wrong one".

The 35-year-old reality star went through a horrific ordeal on Monday when five thieves dressed as policemen robbed her at gunpoint in her apartment in Paris, during which they tied her hands with plastic handcuffs, duct taped her, and stole more than $10 million worth of jewels, and Pascal Duvier - who was out with her sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian - is adamant the culprits will be found.

He told MailOnline: "The events that occurred in Paris was one of the most sickening things I have seen or heard.

"We have tips and leads and we will find you. That I promise you...you messed with the wrong one."

Police sources have revealed Kim was tailed by two men in the days before the robbery, with the suspects - described as Caucasian and North African and having French accents - posing as a plain-clothes detective and a photographer to gain 'close surveillance' information ahead of the terrifying incident.

And one had even tried to gain access to the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star's apartment within the exclusive Hotel Pourtales.

A source said: "Kim Kardashian was tailed for at least three days before the robbery.

"We know there was one man who pretended to be a photographer who followed the American celebrity on a motorbike to find out her whereabouts. Another man pretended to be a plain-clothed detective to try to get a seat next to her at the exclusive Ferdi restaurant on Thursday night.

"But both men were fakes. The photographer tried to listen in to the conversations by other snappers but he was challenged by the genuine ones.

"And the so-called policeman fled when staff at Ferdi asked to see his credentials."

Officers suspect the raid was carried out by a "sophisticated international criminal organisation".

The source added: "We know the licence plate of one of the vehicles used, a Fiat 500, and a photograph of one of the suspects. They both appear to be French and highly professional.

"But this kind of robbery could only have been carried out by a sophisticated international criminal organisation.

"It would have to be if they had any hope of re-classify the stolen jewels and sell them again."

Kim Kardashian West 'not doing so good'

Kim Kardashian West's best friend Jonathan Cheban says she is "not doing so good" after being tied up and robbed at gunpoint in Paris on Monday.

The 35-year-old reality TV star's best friend Jonathan Cheban has given an update on his pal after she endured a horrific ordeal in Paris, France, when five armed, masked men stormed into her apartment, tied her up with plastic handcuffs, and duct tape, and stole more than $10 million worth of jewellery.

Speaking to MailOnline outside Kim's New York apartment, he said: "She's not doing so good."

Jonathan arrived at Kim's flat clutching what appeared to be a gift bag for the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star, who was left "hysterical" after the shocking incident took place in the French capital city.

Kim's former bodyguard Steve Stanulis claims the incident, in which the gang were dressed as policemen, was an "inside job", and admits he wasn't too surprised because she is "very lax" about security.

Speaking to Australian radio station KIIS 1065, he said: "It was totally an inside job guys, the way the whole thing it unfolded it was too clean.

"When I say inside job, it's either somebody from their camp or somebody from the hotel.

"They got into a room when the only security guard was out, and they knew where the jewellery was.

"It was the perfect opportunity on every level."

Discussing her and husband Kanye West's relaxed views on security, he added: "I'd be waiting for Kanye to come out a restaurant.

"He'd come out with a couple of buddies, there wouldn't be room for me in the car so he'd tell me to get a taxi.

"When you follow them in New York he likes you 10 paces behind. If somebody tackles you, I'm not going to get there to stop it."

However, officers suspect the raid was carried out by a "sophisticated international criminal organisation".

A source said: "We know the licence plate of one of the vehicles used, a Fiat 500, and a photograph of one of the suspects. They both appear to be French and highly professional.

"But this kind of robbery could only have been carried out by a sophisticated international criminal organisation.

"It would have to be if they had any hope of re-classify the stolen jewels and sell them again."

Kim's security guard Pascal Duvier has come under fire because he was out with her sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian at the time of the incident, but he has vowed to track down the robbers.

Kim Kardashian 'hysterical' call to Kanye West

Kim Kardashian West was reportedly in "hysterics" when she called her husband Kanye West to tell him about her robbery ordeal in Paris.

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star was left shaken when two masked men dressed as police officers broke into her room in Paris, France on Monday whilst her husband was performing in New York.

A source said: "Kim was terrified. She was just hysterical when she talked to Kanye. He said she was really upset and it took him a few seconds to understand what she was saying to him.

"He wanted to get to her as soon as he could. He told her that he couldn't care less about the jewellery; he's just thankful that she's okay."

And whilst the 35-year-old reality star knew there was always a risk she could be targeted, she is feeling very nervous after what happened.

The insider added to People magazine: "She's always known the threats are out there, but for something to happen, it's almost unimaginable. It's going to take her a very long time to feel safe again."

The ordeal was confirmed by a spokesperson in a statement released on Monday morning.

They confirmed: "Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."

Kim has now returned to New York where she met with Kanye, her mother Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble.

When they arrived back to their home, the family were accompanied by no less than 10 vehicles, 15 bodyguards and a group of local police officers.

Kim Kardashian flees Paris after being tied up and robbed by masked gunmen

Kim Kardashian West has fled Paris after being held at gunpoint in a terrifying attack.

The reality TV star left the French capital on a private jet on Monday, just hours after she was held at gunpoint in her apartment and had "millions of euros" worth of jewellery stolen.

Kim, 35, was left "badly shaken" after armed robbers fooled the concierge into letting them in by dressing up in police uniforms.

They then handcuffed him and forced him to lead them to Kim's apartment, before tying up the reality TV star and locking her in the bathroom.

A police spokesperson told CNN: "The loss amounts to several million euros, mostly jewellery. The total amount is still being evaluated."

The French Interior Ministry's spokesperson said no one was hurt during the incident, which took place at around 3am on Monday and the men did not discharge their weapons.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Kim's heroic bodyguard was not with her when the attack happened.

Kim praised Pascal Duvier as a "G" just days ago after he tackled Vitalii Sediuk when the notorious Ukrainian reporter tried to grab her in the French capital but Pascal was with her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner during Kim's ordeal.

MailOnline reports that Pascal was accompanying Kendall and Kourtney, who were partying at the Arc nightclub, but the siblings rushed back to the complex as soon as they heard the terrifying news.

It is not clear if Kim had another bodyguard with her during the incident.

Her husband Kanye West was performing in New York at the time but stopped halfway through after he was told what had happened to his wife.

During his song 'Heartless', he told the crowd: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Family emergency, I have to stop the show."

Kanye was the headliner for the Meadows Music & Arts Festival but a festival rep came on stage about 10 minutes after he left and said the set was cancelled as Kanye was no longer on the site.

Armed jewel thieves leave 'shaken' Kardashian tied up in Paris bathroom

Masked men put a gun to reality TV star Kim Kardashian's temple, left her tied up in the bathroom of her luxury residence in Paris and stole millions of dollars' worth of jewellery in the early hours of Monday, police and her publicist said.

Kardashian, wife of rapper Kanye West, later left France aboard a private jet from Le Bourget airport after having spoken to investigators.

Five attackers, wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings, struck around 3 a.m. inside the exclusive apartment block where Kardashian was staying while attending Paris Fashion Week, a police source told Reuters.

Two of the men entered Kardashian's apartment after threatening the night guard with a hand gun. Kardashian was not beaten, but the robbers put a handgun against her temple before tying her up, the source said. iTELE television said she had been tied up with packing tape.

The robbers stole a box with 5-6 million euros' ($5.6-$6.7 million) worth of jewels and a ring worth about 4 million euros, the source said.

Kardashian was discovered "badly shaken but physically unharmed", according to her publicist, Ina Treciokas.

As news of the event spread, West abruptly ended a performance in New York less than an hour into his set.

"I'm sorry I have a family emergency, I have to stop the show," West told the audience in video tweeted by fans at the Meadows Festival in Queens.

The Paris apartment block is a discreet building behind the city's Madeleine church, with several secret entrances, often frequented by movie and music stars who pay up to 15,000 euros a night.

The source said the attackers fled on bicycles. Police found the night guard in the staircase, his hand and feet bound.

Kardashian was in Paris with her mother Kris Jenner and her sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian to attend the fashion week. The rest of the family stayed in a hotel.

The robbery set social media alight, with many users expressing disbelief at the latest headline-grabbing event in the life of a TV star who life is continually documented on screen and the internet.

"Looking forward to accompanying album and TV show detailing event," said Twitter user Jay.

Most comments, however, were supportive.

"Kim Kardashian is a mother, a wife, daughter and sister. Despite the fact that you don't like her, being held up at gun point is not funny," said one post by Alieuisha.

Paris has seen several armed robberies on high-end jewelry stores in recent months.

The armed robbery could add to worries about safety in Paris, hit by a series of attacks by Islamist militants last year.

Tourist numbers to what is traditionally the most visited city in the world, fell 6.4 percent in the first half of 2016 as many Asians and Americans stayed away.

"We worry about the image of Paris. This will be all over the news channels, imagine the negative publicity," Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, head of the conservative opposition in Paris, told Europe 1 radio.
