After Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s secret wedding last weekend, all eyes are now on George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding.
The Pitts have outsmarted the paparazzi and tabloids who now seem keeping an extra vigilant eye on Clooney.
George Clooney and his British fiancée, Amal posted their wedding bans at Chelsea Town Hall earlier this month.
The legal notice of their intention to marry has been displayed and these must be displayed to the public for 16 days before the big day — which indicates that the nuptials are due to take place any day now.
Venue:
The couple, who got engaged in April and are tipped to exchange vows at his lavish estate in Lake Como home Villa Oleandra in Laglio, Italy, reports E! News.
The couple love Como and George's home on the lake.
He has the local mayor fully on his side and the locals too and he can ensure that press and paparazzi are kept away.
The Wedding:
According to reports it will definetly be classier than Kim Kardashian/Kanye wedding.
This is not going to be a huge Hollywood wedding with Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock flying in to Italy for a week.
The couple wants the wedding to be intimate with quiet but happy and fun dinners and lunches.
They will take their short but meaningful, hand-written vows in front of their loved ones.
They want their guests to enjoy it as much as they do and they know that if the guest list reads like the Oscars invite list with lots of big Hollywood names there it will be intimidating for their families.
They can do a party for movie industry friends in Los Angeles at a later date.
Best Man and Bridesmaids
There have been reports that Clooney's best friend and newly married Brad Pitt could be standing by the groom as he takes his vows.
There's another name doing the rounds as best man - Rande Gerber (Mr Cindy Crawford).
US actress Ellen Barkin who threw Amal a hen party a few weeks ago could qualify as the bridesmaid.
Wedding Band
It was recently claimed that George, wants to hire 'Born to Die' hitmaker Lana Del Rey to perform at his wedding because 36-year-old Amal, who celebrated her bridal shower in New York City last month, is a big fan.
A source said: "Amal is a massive fan of Lana's, which has made George, determined to make this happen.
"He contacted Lana's people to see if she'll perform at their wedding in Italy."
The couple met at a charity event and began dating in September last year. Mr Clooney proposed to Miss Alamuddin in April, presenting her with a seven-carat diamond engagement ring.
His Oxford-educated fiancée has a high-profile client list – she has represented WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and is an advisor to former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
