Manny Pacquiao's jam-packed maiden trip, dishdashing in UAE

Manny Pacquiao fever had gripped the UAE as the Filipino boxer spent an eventful week in the country.

The legend's maiden visit was primarily for his basketball team in PBA's game but Pacman had a packed schedule from the moment he landed in Dubai.

Pacquiao was the star attraction at the PBC 2016 where he lead Mahindra Enforcers as player-coach.

The Mahindra Enforcers, Alaska Aces and Barangay Ginebra, considered among the best basketball teams in the Philippines, drew huge crowds of Filipino basketball enthusiasts on November 6 and 7 at Al Wasl Sports Club.

Predictably, Pacquiao was the main draw. Pacquiao played just 7 minutes of the first quarter and his every move, pass or jump was met with loud cheers.

Tuesday (Nov 3) the boxing icon visited the highest building in the world. He posted a picture from the observation deck on the 125th floor along with his wife Jinkee Pacquiao.

He wrote, "Enjoying Dubai with my wife. Burj Khalifa At the Top."

On his first official visit to the UAE, Pacquiao met fans at du Shop in Dubai Mall on Wednesday November 4.

Pacquiao's fans interacted with the eight-division world champion and some lucky ones also received autographed t-shirts, signed boxing gloves, as well as specially framed photographs with the champion himself at Dubai Mall.

The icon also inaugurated a GO Sports Store at the Mall of the Emirates on Thursday November 5 situated on the third floor.

On Saturday (Nov 7) Pacquiao was at the Yas Marina Circuit to support Rahma, a charitable cancer service in Abu Dhabi.

He took part in RahmaYAS, a charity walk and cycle around Yas Marina Circuit.

The event aimed to raise awareness of Rahma, a charitable service launched by the Cancer Patient Care Society in Abu Dhabi to provide practical and psychological support for people diagnosed with cancer.

In-between all his official commitments, Pacquiao, his wife Jinkee Pacquiao and two children took time to enjoy the hospitality of the desert country.

From visiting the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, Burj Al Arab, to dressing up in UAE national dress for lunch in Hyatt Regency at Dubai Creek Heights, the Pacquiaos did it all.

Pacman dressed in a Kandura, posted an Instagram image on Saturday with the caption: "I'm wearing the national outfit for men here in Dubai. Of course my wife looking beautiful as always."

The Pacquiaos leave the UAE on Sunday after spending an eventful week in the emirates.
