Meet 'pregnant' Vidya Balan in Dubai today

Dubai is all set to take care of a "heavily pregnant" Vidya Balan on Wednesday. This Bollywood hottest property heads to Lamcy Plaza to promote her latest film 'Kahaani', which premieres in Dubai the same night.

The 34-year-old Balan will interact with her fans at 6pm and give a low-down about her role during her visit to the mall.

After the mall appearance, she will be walking the red-carpet laid out at Grand Cineplex at the Grand Hyatt.

"I am fortunate enough to get different roles and portray different characters and I am happy about it," said Vidya in an interview.

The fake baby bump that Vidya Balan is sporting in 'Kahaani', and also for its promotional events is actually a temporary portable stomach made up of rubber, and weighs almost two kilos.

She says that this added weight on her stomach helped her achieve the perfect posture and gait to complement her character in the film.

Produced and directed by Sujoy Ghosh, this will be Vidya's fourth woman-centric film after Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica and The Dirty Picture. The film also features Bengali actor Parambrata Chattopadhayay and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles.
 
"Kahaani" tells the story of seven-month-pregnant Vidya Bagchi, who flies down to Kolkata in search of her missing husband, all alone in the festive city.
 
With nothing to rely on than just a fragment from her memories of him, Vidya begins her relentless search for her husband Arnab Bagchi.
