Movie Review: 'Kabali' off to a rousing start in Dubai [video]

The words ‘Neruppa Da’ echoed around the theatres following the opening shows of Rajnikanth-starrer ‘Kabali’ in Dubai.

Theatres where the film is being screened are completely booked for a week.

The much anticipated Tamil film released in Dubai on Thursday and will be screened across theatres in India and other countries starting today.

Rajnikanth fans said they had been waiting for two years for the movie to be released and are happy with the performance.

"Super movie. A true Rajnikanth entertainer," said Murugan B.

"It's a slow-paced thriller. I am happy with the film. Could have been better," said Sindhu Jibi who had come along with her three year old kid.

The movie starts off with a gangster (Rajnikanth) released after 25 years in prison.

What follows is a tale of gang wars and the superstar's attempts to avenge the loss of his wife.

Fans get to see their megastar back in action in the usual Rajniisms and superhuman stunts.
