Mr International 2012: Lebanon's Ali wins

Country boasts 3 runners up and a winner since 2006

It’s not just the Lebanese women for are famed for the beauty then.

Ali Hammoud from Lebanon won the seventh Mr. International title held in Bangkok, Thailand.

This is the second time since 2006 that a Lebanese has won the title- 23-year-old Hammoud following in Wissam Hanna footsteps, who won six years ago.

However, Lebanon has been able to produce other top five contenders in the pageant, including Bassel Abou Hamdan, who finished as the 4th runner-up in 2007, Mohammad Chamseddine who was hailed as the 1st runner-up in 2008, and Marcelino Gebrayel who took the 2nd runner-up spot in 2011.

In this year’s meet, Ron Teh from Singapore was named 1st runner up while Marko Sobot from Slovenia finished as the 2nd runner up. Ricardo Magrryino of Brazil bagged the 3rd runner up honors as Jan Haraslin of the Slovak Republic was named as the 4th runner up.
